Dear Colleagues,

I believe that this is a very exciting moment in the history of Hacettepe Dental Faculty, as this is the first issue of 'Clinical Dentistry and Research' the 'new' Official Publication of Hacettepe Dental Faculty.

In fact, this project started approximately one year ago when, as the new Editorial Board, we had our first meeting where we esentially discussed the possibility of a rather 'new' journal to comply with the changing needs and demands within the field of science, research and publication. It was our common understanding that we should immediately start working together for a scientific journal with a 'new' mission and vision and with the primary goal of an improved credibility and visibility. The task was quite difficult however, as the board members, we all were very determined.

Today, I am very pleased that the project is realized. I owe a 'Thank you' to each and every member of the Editorial Board of Clinical Dentistry and Research for their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm.

I also thank to everyone who inspired and supported us.

Alhough we know that this is only the beginning and there is a long way to go and a lot of work to do, still I feel that today we can enjoy this first step and the first issue of Clinical Dentistry and Research.
